Viagra

Viagra is used for the relaxation of muscles and increases the flow of blood to particular parts of the body. The medication is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. The medication can also be used for some other purposes which are not listed here.

You should not use the medication if you are taking a nitrate drug for chest pain or heart problems. This includes nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate and isosorbide mononitrate. You should also avoid those medications which contain nitrate, because they can decrease blood pressure, which can lead to fainting, stroke, or heart attack. Some of the patients have reported loss of eyesight after taking the medication and it occurs due to the low flow of blood to the optic nerve of the eye. This situation is happened in those people who have the problems of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or certain pre-existing eye problems. Before taking Viagra, you should inform your doctor if you have heart disease, heart rhythm problems, history of heart attack, stroke, congestive heart failure, high or low blood pressure, coronary artery disease, liver disease, kidney disease, blood cell disorder like sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, leukemia, or bleeding disorder like hemophilia, stomach ulcer, retinitis pigmentosa, or physical deformity of the penis. In these conditions, you are unable to take the medication or you need dosage adjustment or you have to carry out tests during treatment.



Take the medication as prescribed to you by your doctor and don’t take larger amount of the medication. You can take the medication three times a day and gap should be 4 to 6 hours. You can take the medication as needed and take it one hour before sexual activity. It can help in the erection when sexual stimulation occurs. If you have the following conditions like dizziness or nauseated, pain, numbness, or tingling in the chest, arms, neck or jaw during sexual activity then you should stop to take the medication. Place the medication at room temperature and away from heat and moisture.

If you miss a dose then take it as soon as you remember and if the time is near to take the next scheduled dose then skip the missed dose and go back to regular scheduled dose. If you suspect overdose then get emergency medical help. The symptoms of overdose are chest pain, nausea, and irregular heartbeat, feeling light-headed, and fainting.

If you experience the following the serious side effects then stop the medication and contact with your doctor immediately. These side effects include chest pain or heavy feeling, nausea, sweating, general ill feeling, irregular heartbeat, swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet, shortness of breath, vision changes, and feeling light-headed.
