Renova

Renova is used to make the skin fresh and it is a topical form of vitamin A that assists the skin to renew itself. It is also used to treat acne and decrease the appearance of fine wrinkles and mottled skin discoloration and help to make rough facial skin feel smoother. Doctors also prescribe the Renova for some other purposes than those listed above.

The medication belongs to FDA pregnancy category C which means it is harmful to an unborn baby, so it is necessary to inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to be pregnant before taking the treatment with Renova. It also passes into milk of nursing mother therefore if you are breastfeeding a baby, then tell your doctor about it.

Take the medication as prescribed to you by your doctor and don’t try to apply the medicine more often, because the side effects may increase. First you should wash your hands before applying the Renova and when it is applied then again wash your hands. Apply on dry skin area. Avoid applying the Renova on wet skin because it can cause skin irritation so when you wash your face, wait for at least 20 minutes after washing your face and then apply a thin layer of the medication.



You should not wash the treated skin for at least one hour after applying Renova and don’t use other skin products on the same area. You should follow a complete skin care program which includes sunscreen and protective clothing. Go on your treatment on several weeks and if you think that it is not working well then don’t leave the treatment because it will take sometime to give effect. In the beginning, your condition may become worse for short time, but with the passage of time, the condition will get improved. Place the medication at room temperature and away from heat and moisture.

If you miss a dose of Renova cream then apply it as soon as you get remembered but if the time is near to take the next massage then skip the missed dose and follow your regular schedule of doses. Don’t try to apply the double of Renova at the same time. While using Renova, you should avoid exposure to sunlight or artificial UV rays because Renova make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. If you are out in the sun, use sunscreen and protective clothing. Keep away the medicine in contact with your eyes, mouth, nose or your lips. If your skin is sunburned then don’t apply the medicine on those areas. Avoid other skin products which can cause irritation like harsh soaps, shampoos or skin cleaners, hair coloring or permanent chemicals etc.

If you experience the following side effects then you should get medical help. These side effects include difficulty in breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. There are less severe side effects like burning, warmth, stinging, tingling, itching, redness, swelling, dryness, peeling, and irritation. In such conditions, you should continue your medication.
