Ortho-Novum
Ortho-Novum is the contraceptive medicine, used by women to prevent pregnancy. Ortho-Novum contains female hormones, which prevent the eggs, which are released from the ovary. The Ortho-Novum can be used for correcting heavy menstrual bleeding too, due to uterine fibroids. It also helps in stopping the growth of uterine lining. The generic name of Ortho-Novum is mestranol and norethindrone. The effectiveness of Ortho-Novum can effect if you are using antibiotic. if you want to start Ortho-Novum, always take doctor consultation and discuss about other prescribed medicine you are using. Even you need to tell your doctor about which minerals, vitamins and herbal product you use.In certain conditions, you can’t use Ortho-Novum. Condition like if you have history of stroke, blood clot, cancer related hormones, like breast or uterine cancer or abnormal vaginal bleeding and liver diseases or cancers. In these conditions, you might be not able to take Ortho-Novum or you need to give special test during treatment and need to settle down your dose. Even if you are pregnant or you have new born baby recently, then you need at least 4 weeks for starting Ortho-Novum again or 6 weeks, if you feed your child. If you do breastfeeding, then you need to avoid using Ortho-Novum, because it will mix up with breast milk and will affect child’s growth. The side effect of Ortho-Novum is hives, breathing problem, and swelling on your face, lips, throat and tongue. In these side effects, you need medical treatment. Besides these side effects, the other side effects are weakness or numbness to any part of body. Further side effects include headache, confusion, chest pain, nausea or symptoms of depression. When you are using Ortho-Novum, and if you are older than 35, you need to avoid smoking. Smoking can cause you blood clot, stroke and heart attack while using contraceptive. If you take the Ortho-Novum overdose that means you need medical treatment. The overdose symptoms are nausea, vomiting and vaginal bleeding in that case you need medical help.
On the other hand, if you forget to take your dose, then you need to take it as soon as possible or otherwise you need to take 2 pills at the day you remember. Ortho-Novum 777 is the combination of estrogen and progestine, which help in preventing pregnancy. It is also used for correcting menstrual cycle and menopause can be treated by Ortho-Novum 777. You need to take 1 tablet daily for 21 or 28 days. If you want to start Ortho-Novum 777, it should be the fifth day of your cycle or it should be first Sunday when the flow begins. If you forget to take your pill, then take it as soon as possible and follow the same routine of pills. If you forget to take more than 2 pills, then stop, and then wait for the withdrawal of menstrual flow. After withdrawal of menstrual flow, you need to restart fresh pack of Ortho-Novum on the fifth day of cycle. When you restart the pills, you need to use backup contraception for the first month. Keep the medicine at the room temperature and make sure it is not under heat and light.
