Flomax
Flomax is in an assemblage of drugs, called alpha-adrenergic (AL-fa ad-ren-ER-jik) blockers. Flomax unwinds your veins and blood vessels so that blood can more easily circulate. It also calms down the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate. Flomax is used to get better urination in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Flomax may also be used for purposes other than those described in here. As with any medicine, there are possible side effects related to Flomax (tamsulosin hydrochloride). However, not everyone who takes this medicine will experience side effects. Although most people bear Flomax well, there are some possible side effects of the drug. Some of the most ordinary Flomax side effects include irregular ejaculation, a runny or stuffy nose, and faintness. In lots of cases, Flomax side effects are negligible and can be simply treated by you or your healthcare provider. However, there are numerous side effects of Flomax that you should tell to your healthcare right away, including signs of an allergic reaction or a sore erection that will not go away. During clinical studies of people who took Levitra with Flomax, there was an obvious drop in blood pressure, but it did not cause any indications of low blood pressure, such as dizziness, giddiness, or fainting. If your healthcare provider thinks that it is harmless for you to take Flomax and Levitra together, he or she may advise you to take the lowest dose of Levitra to make sure that there is no considerable drop in blood pressure.
Tamsulosin is available with a prescription with the brand name Flomax. Other brand or generic formulations may also be available. Ask your healthcare provider any questions you have about this drug, particularly if it is new to you. Before taking Flomax, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs, or if you have prostate cancer. If you will be having flume surgery, tell the surgeon that you are taking Flomax. Although Flomax should not be used by women, this medicine is in the FDA pregnancy category B.
This means that it is not probable to be harmful to an unborn baby. Flomax is not for use in children. There are numerous options of Flomax (tamsulosin hydrochloride) for an enlarged prostate (known medically as benign prostatic hyperplasia, benign prostatic hypertrophy, or BPH). Some options to Flomax comprise watchful waiting, surgery, or other medications. Watchful waiting does not include any kind of cure and is particularly useful when there are no indications accompanying an enlarged prostate. Surgery is a choice when there are severe enlarged prostate symptoms. Some medications that are Flomax alternatives include 5-alpha reductase inhibitors, which may take up to six months to see results, or alpha blockers, which do not reduce the size of the prostate, but can rapidly relieve symptoms.
