Famvir

Famvir is an antiviral drug. It slows the growth and increase of the herpes virus so that the body can easily resist the infection. Famvir will not treat herpes, but it can decrease the indications of the diseases. Famvir is used for treating the infections caused by herpes viruses. Diseases caused by herpes viruses comprise genital herpes, cold sores, shingles, and chicken pox. The following famvir side effects have been reported throughout post-approval use of Famvir. Urticaria, serious skin reactions (e.g. erythema multiforme), jaundice, thrombocytopenia, hallucinations, dizziness, somnolence and confusion (including delirium, disorientation, confusional state, occurring predominantly in the elderly) are also its side effects. Because these adverse events are reported voluntarily from a population of unknown size, estimates of frequency cannot be made. There are several companies that take the order and make sure the next day or overnight delivery of famvir.

Pharmacy Northwest will process your Famvir order as soon as possible. In most cases, your prescription for Famvir will be processed within one business day via FedEx overnight delivery to you. Famvir dosage depends upon the type of the disease. Famvir 250 mg tablets are white and round biconvex tablets, debossed with 'FAMVIR' or 'FV' on one side and 250 on the other side. For genital herpes disease, one 250 mg tablet is used three times daily for five days. Beginning of treatment is suggested as soon as possible after onset of lesions. One 250 mg tablet twice daily. A dose of 500 mg twice daily has been shown to be effective in HIV patients. Therapy should be intermittent occasionally at intervals of six to twelve months in order to monitor potential changes in the natural history of the disease. During the oppressive treatment with famciclovir 250 mg and 500 mg tablets, the frequency of viral shedding (both symptomatic and asymptomatic) may be abridged.

However, the risk of viral transmission remains even during suppressive antiviral therapy and with protected intercourse, i.e. the use of condoms. For the cure of shingles, Famvir dosing normally starts at 500 mg three times a day for seven days. At the first signs of a cold sore, you can take a single dose of Famvir 1500 mg to treat the state. For treating an eruption of genital herpes, the suggested Famvir dosage is typically 1000 mg twice daily for one day. To stop future outbreaks, the recommended Famvir dose is 250 mg twice a day for up to one year. Treatment with Famvir should be started as soon as possible after the first emergence of symptoms (e.g. tingling, burning, and blisters). Take all of the Famvir that has been suggested to you even if you begin to feel better. Your symptoms may start to get better before the disease is wholly treated. Herpes infections are transmittable and you can infect other people, even during treatment.
