Famvir is an antiviral drug. It slows the growth and increase of the herpes virus so that the body can easily resist the infection. Take all of the Famvir that has been suggested to you even if you begin to feel better. Your symptoms may start to get better before the disease is wholly treated. Herpes infections are transmittable and you can infect other people, even during treatment.
