Estraderm

The Estraderm is described as a thin, round, multiplayer, transparent, and transdermal therapeutic system. The Estraderm is an adhesive patch, which contains estradinol, meant to apply on intact skin. It is HRT or Hormone Replacement Therapy for the estrogen deficiency symptoms in postmenopausal women. The estraderm delivers estrogen through the skin. The portion of the skin is especially unexposed, like your buttocks.

There are some individuals who are not eligible for this drug. It should not be administered in patient with hepatic disorders especially of obstructive type, like known or suspected breast cancer, known or suspected estrogen dependent neoplasia, endometrial hypoplasia, undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding, porphyria, known or suspected pregnancy, a history of cerebrovascular accident, coronary thrombosis, partial or complete vision loss from ophthalmic vascular disease, known or suspected hypersensitivity to any of the components of the patch.

Every drug and medicine has good and bad effects, and so the Estraderm also have some reactions and side effects, which include gastrointestinal, nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomforts (which includes cramps and pains), bloating, gallbladder disorder, asymptomatic impaired liver function, cholestatic jaundice, genitourinary breakthrough bleeding, and vaginal bleeding.
